How to get from the airport to downtown

The location of Oulu airport is 15 km south of the city centre and the conference hotels. There is a regular local bus service - route no. 19. A single fare from the city centre to the airport costs 4.20 € and from Linnanmaa campus to the airport 4.80 €. Taxis are available at approximately 20-30 €. An airport taxi costs 17 € per person and has to be requested in advance from mobile phone +358-600-30081.

How to get from the hotel to the conference venue

The conference venue is the Department of Information Processing Science at the University of Oulu Linnanmaa Campus.

Buses number 4, 6, 7 and 19 take you directly from the town centre to the university in 15 minutes. There is a bus approximately every 20 minutes.

A single ticket in the area of the city costs EUR 2,60, at night (23-04 h) the fares are doubled. You can change busses within 1 hour of the purchase of the ticket.  Buses stop at entrance T (on Erkki Koiso-Kanttilankatu) which is the nearest stop next to lecture rooms.
