Submission of RESEARCH PAPERS (closed)
Research papers should describe innovative and significant work in the
areas of conference topics. The papers should be readable for a scientific
and industrial audience, and support claims with appropriately described
evidence or references to relevant literature. The papers will be published
in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
Prospective authors are encouraged to submit a PDF AND the Original version
of their paper through Paper submission system
or in
case of problems to xp2006@vtt.fi
Your paper must conform to the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS)
format. See the author guidelines (http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html)
of Springer for submission details. Papers should not exceed 10 pages in and
include an abstract of up to 150 words. Papers must not have been previously
published or submitted elsewhere. If accepted, the paper must be personally
presented at the XP 2006 Conference by the author or one of the co-authors.
The presenting author(s) must pre-register for the conference before the due
date of the camera-ready paper.
The research papers will be double blindly reviewed by
the XP 2006 program
committee.

Submission of EXPERIENCE
REPORTS (closed)
Industry relevant experience papers should describe practical experiences
related to conference topic with relevance to other practitioners. All
accepted papers will be printed in the LNCS conference proceedings.
Prospective authors are encouraged to submit a PDF AND the Original version
of their paper through Paper submission system or in
case of problems to xp2006@vtt.fi.

Submission of TUTORIALS (closed)
Tutorials can be either one half day or a full day tutorials covering an
important aspect of the agile software development. We call for exciting,
in-depth and inspiring tutorials for XP 2006 conference. The evaluation of
the prospective tutorials shall be performed by the relevance of the topic,
industrial and/or academic experience of the tutorial instructors and the
level of the tutorial material.
Prospective TUTORIAL presenters are encouraged to submit
a) 2-page summary of the tutorial topic (to be included in the
proceedings)
b) Draft agenda
b) CV of the tutorial presenters
c) 10-15 slide example set of the tutorial material

Submission of WORKSHOPS (closed)
Workshops can be either one half day or a full day workshops covering an
important aspect of the agile software development. We are looking for
inspiring, enthusiastic and important areas of agile software development
practice & research Workshops covering any particular aspect of the
conference scope. The evaluation of the prospective Workshops shall be
performed by the relevance of the topic, workshop history, experience of the
workshop organizers and the status of the workshop planning.
Prospective WORKSHOP organizers are encouraged to submit
a) 2-page summary of the workshop topic (to be included in the
proceedings)
b) Call for workshop papers

Submission of POSTERS AND DEMONSTRATIONS
(closed)
Posters are an excellent forum for authors to present their work in an
informal and interactive session, to present late-breaking and preliminary
results, or to present an overview of, or introduction to, interesting work
in key areas of agile software development. Posters provide authors with a
unique opportunity to make their work highly visible during the conference,
and to discuss their work one-on-one with other conference participants. The
Poster Session will have a strong tie to the other areas of XP2006.
Prospective POSTERS AND DEMONSTRATIONS organizers are encouraged to
submit
a) 2-page extended abstract of the Poster or demonstration (to be
included in the proceedings)

Submission of PHD-SYMPOSIUM contributions

We want you to get your high quality PhD done within Agile timeframe!
The doctoral symposium provides a forum for doctoral students doing their
research in the area of agile development.
In the symposium students will present and discuss their research objectives,
methods, and (preliminary) results. The goal is to provide mutual feedback
and guidance in completing the dissertation and on future research
directions.
The Doctoral Symposium has the same scope as the main XP 2006 conference.
We encourage doctoral students to present their work at the symposium.
Students interested in participating are requested to submit a paper
describing their research work to the symposium chair. Only electronic
submissions (PDF) will be accepted. Abstracts should not be longer than 2
pages in the conference format and should
- clearly describe the research questions the work is addressing,
- explain significant problems and current solutions,
- discuss the proposed approach, and
- present results achieved so far.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings. Please
submit your abstract by email to

exciting ideas for joint working and brainstorming.
