Aim

The target is to develop a prototype for integrated and personalized publications which makes use of both fast distribution networks. The usability of the prototype will be evaluated in a user trial.

This project will focus on the matters the previous IMU-project has brought out, has left open or otherwise essential problems.

Protype features

• Combines and personalizes TV news and web newspaper articles
• Personalizable media and event calender
• Content tailored to three terminals: PC, TV and WAP-phones
• The TV settop-box also records TV-programs
• Both automatic and manual news handling - a moderator givespriorities and backgrounds with our editor tool
• A tool for building community pages
• A tool for scanning the business environment
• Based on an active proxy server

The trial during autumn 2000

• The proxy server gathers, indexes, interlinks news and event info
• 400 persons and several communities are trying the service over fast connections (cable-TV, ADSL).
