3rd ESA Workshop on Millimetre Wave Technology and Applications:
circuits, systems, and measurement techniques

May 21-23, 2003, Espoo, Finland

The third European Space Agency (ESA) workshop on the technology and applications of millimetre waves will be organised by MilliLab jointly with ESA/ESTEC, VTT and Helsinki University of Technology. The aim of the workshop is to bring together people involved in research and industrial development of millimetre wave components and systems, and to explore common areas and synergies in the development of millimetre wave techniques for commercial and scientific ground-based and space-borne applications. A non-exhaustive list of the topics is the following:
- Mm-wave systems and sub-systems
- Active and passive devices and circuits
- Millimetre-wave MMICs
- Hybrid circuits on quartz and other substrates
- Periodic structures and novel transmission    lines
- Antennas and antenna measurements
- On-wafer measurements
- Power measurement and calibration
- Micromachining and novel fabrication    techniques
- Quasi-optical techniques
- Imaging and remote sensing instruments
- Instruments for radio astronomy
- Telecommunications applications
- Automotive applications
- Industrial and military applications
