Two new EU-funded projects have set out to examine the effects of changing weather patterns on transport in Europe. Projects EWENT and WEATHER will carry out in-depth analyses, assess the hazards and propose response strategies. A two-day international conference was held Sept. 8-9 in Cologne under the auspices of the European Aviation Safety Agency.
